Presently we are working in four Projects of Connecting Classrooms Online of British Council. Here my partners are so enthusiastic that they are continuously exchanging wonderful resources. I was amazed to see Korean students cooking Indian food. EunaSHI of Seoul Choongmoo Elementary School sent photos of her students cooking Indian food.

Project with school from Spain

We have joined Project of Ann Foreman English teacher, British Council ,Spain. In this Project teenagers will publish online zines on topics they've chosen themselves using different formats such as glogs, blogs or websites.Students will discuss Fashions in different countries eg India, France and China, Sports, Music - Heavy metal versus Pop. There is much scope for using web.2 tools. Students will learn new experience of blogging.

Global Education Conference 2010

At last the wait is over now and the awaited Gobal Conference will begin tomorrow. It will be a busy week indeed. Thanks to Mr. Steve Hargadon who motivated our School by allowing us to participate in this great event. Our journey began last year 2009 in month of October when British Council's Mr. Chris Swift encouraged us to collaborate in International Projects. And we must say that without his constant feedbacks and motivation we could not have got this much recognition. Today we are participating in more than 150 Projects and we have collaborated with more than 30 different countries across the globe. For a school situated in a remote corner it's a great achievement. As an Ambassador School of Connecting Classrooms Online of British Council we have grave responsibilities of bringing closer different nations and help them collaborate in International Projects. Now this new role of mentor is demanding indeed! We are enjoying this privilege. Our contributions are so much scattered that we find it difficult to put them together! Children Day celebrated on 14th November

Today Children Day was celebrated in our School. Many cultural programmes were held on this occasion. All teachers paid homage to our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru whose birthday is celebrated as Children Day in India. We were reminded of the efforts of our beloved 'Chacha' Nehru who brought about a great change in lives of children.We have special attachment to him as all JNVs are named after his name "Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas". His grandson Mr. Rajeev Gandhi opened these Schools for rural and underprivileged children. We have to fulfil dreams cherished by our beloved Chacha Nehru by striving hard to achieve excellence in all spheres.

Green School Project with School from Thailand

We have CCO Project "Green Schools" with Thai School Yupparaj Wittayalai . The teacher Sawat is School Ambassador and quite active and cooperating. They sent us some documents telling about their ways to stop wastage of electricity. They named trees of their campus.

Dussehra celebrations

Today we celebrated Dussehra in our School campus. The effigy of Ravana was prepared by class XIth students. In evening it was lit with fire. It was an occasion to enjoy. All students watched burning Ravana and clapped their hands. We enjoy celebrating our festivals together.

Gandhi Jayanti celebrated

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in School on 2nd October. The staff & students paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Principal Sir gave a speech highlighting the qualities of both Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bhadur Shastri. He urged all students to follow the path of Truth and Non violence.
